Woodruff Park in Atlanta, GA
This photo is from Woodruff Park. It is one of Downtown Atlanta’s two significant parks – the other one being Centennial Park.
It’s set right at Five Points and is surrounded by the Equitable, Candler and Park Place skyscrapers. It also has the Georgia Pacific Center, Westin and 191 Peachtree all in it’s immediate background. My office also overlooks it from the Hurt Building.
The park doesn’t have a ton of amenities, but it does provide some pretty iconic views of Atlanta. The park is also surprisingly new. Until 1973, the block was a collection of one and two story retail buildings. It’s named after it’s donor (and giant of Atlanta history) Robert Woodruff. Fun place for a stroll – and a good place to take photos.
