Salaam Springs at Grant Park

Salaam Springs at Grant Park 1

Salaam Springs (aka “The Pond”) is the main only water feature in Atlanta’s Grant Park. It’s not huge and it’s more of a stormwater catchment than a landscaped lake TBH. However, it was re-built & re-landscaped a few years ago with a viewing deck, a working water fountain, and native plants around the edge.

And with just a few “little” improvements, it’s not only become a nice visual feature & rest stop on the steep hill connecting the Zoo Atlanta entrance to the parking deck, but it’s also a very popular wildlife habitat. On Spring mornings, it is *the* place especially for birds.
