90% of everything is sanding e.g. laundry

I’d actually add a corollary – the more interesting / lucrative / impressive an activity or position is…the more “sanding” is involved.

We all think that life is like TV. It’s not. At all. Everything is just like woodworking where like 10% of doing it is cool & interesting and the rest is sanding. The point is – do you like the “sanding” part of the activity slightly more than other people?
