Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh

Delivering Happiness is a book by Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos. The book tells the story of Hsieh’s life as an entrepreneur and how he built his company, Zappos, into a multi-billion dollar business. The central theme of the book is that company culture and customer service are the keys to a successful business.
Hsieh believes that happiness is what everyone is looking for in life, and a company can be successful by finding ways to make its employees, customers, and partners happy.
The book is divided into three parts. The first part covers Hsieh’s early life and his experiences as an entrepreneur. The second part focuses on the growth of Zappos and how Hsieh built a strong company culture. The third part discusses the sale of Zappos to Amazon and Hsieh’s vision for the future.
The main themes of the book are building a strong company culture, providing excellent customer service, and finding happiness in both business and life. Hsieh believes that by focusing on these themes, a company can be successful and profitable while also making a positive impact on the world.
What I Liked
Well-written with a few good ideas – better than most business books. I really like the argument that, as a founder, you can make your company into your own little ideal world. You can still do right even if your competitors are not doing right.
