Grant Park’s Summer Shade Festival

Grant Park's Summer Shade Festival 1

The Summer Shade Festival is one of the largest neighborhood festivals in Atlanta. It takes place in Grant Park in August every year. It’s always fun and well attended and very, very hot. The neighborhood festivals are one of the best things about Atlanta. Atlanta has a lot of little neighborhoods in the city that all have their distinct character and history and pride – and neighborhood festivals are part of that pride. I’m biased towards Grant Park but other neighborhoods like Candler Park, Adair Park, and so many others have excellent festivals too.
