Cottonwood Patch Campground

Cottonwood Patch Campground 1

Cottonwood Patch Campground is a Forest Service Campground in far north Georgia in the Chattahoochee National Forest. It is right along the Conasauga River as it exits the Cohutta Wilderness. It’s focused on equestrian campers, but it has some nice scenic campsites. The campground is maintained by the Back Country Horsemen of North Georgia, who also maintain the Jacks River Fields campground. They do a nice job. It’s a simple basic campground, but an excellent location to explore the Cohutta Wilderness and nearby areas. It can get a little buggy in the summer though.
