Midtown New York
This photo is from Midtown New York. I’ve been able to travel through New York a few times for both business and leisure.
This photo is just 4 blocks west of Times Square, but it has a completely different vibe than Times Square. The restaurants are better. There’s less traffic. I can’t claim to know the city at all.
But my one tip for any travel destination is to go slightly off the tourist circuit.
It’s a bit cliche, but it’s a cliche that few people actually do.
Whether it’s Times Square, the Las Vegas Strip, or famous sites at National Parks, very few visitors go off the prescribed circuit or the prescribed times.
I’m always amazed & thankful that you can have these special places all to yourself if you go slightly off the beaten track or at a slightly different time.
