I absolutely love DK books. In a world of AI and infinite access to information, they are geniuses at keeping information in the printed book format more relevant than ever. I love the tactile feel and visual wealth of just flipping through these books – and Natural History is the perfect topic for this type of coffee table book. It’s the perfect way to figure out all the things that I didn’t know…that I didn’t know. I’m re-working my way through the minerals section and I’m just blown away by the rock after rock that plays an absolutely critical role in my daily life that I knew nothing about. Also – this is the perfect substitute for phone anxiety. Go for it when you get that boredom twitch that won’t go away.
Absolutely beautiful book and dense with all the information. The person or team who designed this book is just brilliant. This book is the type to show you stuff that you don't know that you don't know. It's useful and enjoyable for anyone from 3 to full on PhD scientist. Love it!
