Atlanta’s New Westside Park

Atlanta has a new largest city park at Westside Park (now Franklin Park). It surrounds a quarry which doubles as our emergency water supply. And what’s interesting is that the topography is not a typical huge city park like Piedmont or Central Park. It’s definitely rolling hills with a lot of up and down hiking trails walking but in the center they have graded out a couple large multi-use fields. I’m really looking forward to it being connected to the city’s trail system and to the rest of the city.
