This photo is of a sundial and a marble plinth that my Grandma gave me. They were both living in her barn, which was going to be torn down and taken to the landfill.
They were both originally my Great Uncle’s. The sundial lived on top of the well pump when I was a kid. It’s nothing that you can’t buy at Home Depot, but they both add a bit of character to our front yard.

Crater Lake has to be one of America’s most photographed landscapes. But seeing it in person still exceeded the expectations. It has a depth of blue that I couldn’t quite capture – and I don’t think anyone can. It’s also so photogenic that I don’t think it’s possible to take a bad picture of it.
The Hickory Ridge Trail in the Cohutta Wilderness in the Chattahoochee National Forest is a favorite interior trail of mine.
